Stand Up comedy in this very misunderstood part of the world is exploding (*ahem*). Jamil may have started the Middle Eastern Stand up comedy scene on TV, but the young, the bold and the restless have taken it online in a big way.
Whether through marketing to thousands for free on Facebook or seeing how others do it on Youtube, the traditional business model has been bypassed and new media tactics are changing the scene faster than a camel running to an oasis.
In his talk he will shine a spotlight on how Stand Up Comedy is an ideal ‘fit’ for utilizing all the new bite sized entertainment and content needs of a ‘wired’ Arab world.
